In short

AmenDay keeps your prayer life on your phone. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use tracking or advertising identifiers.

What stays on your device

Your quiz answers, prayer history, streak, intentions, journal, plan progress and reminder times are stored only on your device. We cannot see them. Deleting the app, or choosing "Start over" in the You tab, erases them.

Prayer Circles and your account

Prayer Circles are shared between phones, so they need an account. If you create one, we store your email address (to sign you in), the name you show in circles, the circles you belong to, the prayer requests you share, who has prayed for them, and how many days you prayed each week.

This is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Other members of a circle can see your name, your weekly prayer count and the requests you share there. Nobody outside the circle can.

You can remove a request you shared, leave a circle, or delete your account from the You tab. Deleting your account removes your account, your memberships and the requests you shared.

The prayer companion

When you write to the prayer companion, your messages, your first name and the tradition you chose are sent to our server on Amazon Web Services and passed to Anthropic, the company whose AI model (Claude) writes the replies. They are used only to answer you.

We do not store your conversations on our server. Anthropic processes them under its commercial terms, which do not allow them to be used to train its models, and may keep them for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring.

To prevent abuse, our server keeps a daily count of companion requests for each device or account. Counts are deleted after three days.

Replies are written by AI and can be wrong. You can report any reply with Report: it is hidden on your phone, and if you choose to send the email that opens, its text comes to our support inbox so we can review it.

Please do not share information you would not want processed this way, such as passwords or health records.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether you have an active subscription. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts, but no payment card details.

Notifications, read-aloud and share cards

Reminders are scheduled on your device. No notification content is sent through our servers.

Prayers read aloud use the voices built into your device, so the text never leaves your phone.

Share cards are drawn on your device. If you choose Save Image, the card is saved to your photo library; AmenDay never reads your photos.

Children

AmenDay is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

You can turn off reminders at any time, stop using the companion, erase everything on your device with "Start over", and delete your Prayer Circles account in the You tab.

For any privacy question or request, write to support@amenday.co.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app.
